Description
The Association of Compliance Officers in Greece - ASCO Greece, in collaboration with Nomiki Bibliothiki, organized the 7th Compliance Conference, titled Embracing Change, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in person at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel and via Live Streaming.
Representatives of organizations and authorities and more than 35 industry experts discussed and shared insights on effectively addressing the challenges arising from rapidly evolving legislation, the increasing demand for ESG criteria implementation, advancements in technology, data security, anti-money laundering (AML) efforts, cross-border compliance issues, and fostering a culture of compliance and ethical business practices.
As companies and organizations are urged to embrace the changes driven by ESG criteria and new technologies, it was thoroughly explored how Compliance Officers must be equipped to manage the complexities of a constantly evolving regulatory and compliance landscape, while leading the transformative shifts occurring in modern business practices.
The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, the National Transparency Authority (NTA), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), the Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA), the International Compliance Association (ICA), the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies (HAIC), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Hellenic Investors Association (SED).
