This compact course delivers essential knowledge on compliance with regulatory requirements in high-tech and digital markets. It focuses on key actors and services, such as online platforms, AI, and fintech, to maximize relevance and timeliness. It combines risk assessment and risk management with substantive legal analysis of rules and obligations to enable experts to readily apply insights. It highlights up-to-date tools and caselaw to help experts fast-track their dayto-day tasks and research in regulatory compliance.

Konstantinos Stylianou

Professor in Competition Law and Regulation, University of Glasgow
Konstantinos Stylianou is a Professor of Competition Law and Regulation at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on digital markets, the choice between competition and regulation, and how markets are organized around new technologies. He has worked with, advised, trained or done research for various governments (Greece, Thailand, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia) and BigTech companies, and has attracted funding from the EU, the UK Research Councils, national competition authorities, and numerous research institutions including the Fulbright and Onassis foundations. He is the co-creator of the db-comp.eu database. He holds an S.J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, an LL.M. from Harvard University, and an LL.B. and LL.M. from Aristotle University.

Professor & Personal Chair in Law, University of Exeter
Konstantinos Sergakis is Professor and Personal Chair in Law at the University of Exeter, where he is also the Director of the Center of European Legal Studies (CELS). He specializes in Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Capital Markets. He is Member (Alternate) of the Board of Appeal of the European Supervisory Authorities and Chairperson of the Oversight Committee of the Best Practice Principles Group. He has held Visiting Professorships at the Universities of Aarhus, Alcalá, Liechtenstein, LUISS, Sciences-Po Lyon, Macerata, Trento, and UCLouvain. In 2024, he held the Peter Ellinger Visiting Professorship at the National University of Singapore. He regularly delivers keynote speeches and participates in high-level events alongside EU Commissioners, former Prime Ministers/Ministers and policy makers, and has been a regular speaker at the G7 Pensions Forum.
Nicolo Zingales

Professor in Information Law and Regulation, Fundação Getulio Vargas University
Nicolo Zingales is a Professor of Information Law and Regulation at FGV law school, in Rio de Janeiro, where he also leads FGV's E-commerce Research Nucleus. His work focuses on the interaction of law, technology, and markets, particularly the responsibilities of digital platforms and other intermediaries in the digital ecosystem. He is also a UNDP consultant and a non-governmental advisor to the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE) at the International Competition Network, and is affiliated with the Stanford Center for Internet and Society, the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society, and the Tilburg Law and Economics Center. He holds a PhD in International Economic Law from Bocconi University, and a JD from the University of Bologna.
Alessio Azzutti

Alessio Azzutti is a Lecturer in Law and Technology (FinTech) at the University of Glasgow. In his research, Alessio integrates insights and theories from various disciplines, including law, finance, socio-economics, and information technology. He has served as a Research Associate at the Institute of Law and Economics, University of Hamburg and at the Centre for Banking & Finance Law at the National University of Singapore. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in Finance and Risk Management from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, an LL.M. in Law and Economics from Utrecht University, and a Doctorate in Law (cum laude) from Universität Hamburg.
